Chibi! That is today's post. Chibi is a form similar to anime, except the characters are short in proportion, and the face is rounder, eyes are bigger, etc. There are many forms of chibi because it is very versatile, but the way I'm doing it is to make the head round like a "U" first. Then you make the arms like tiny stubs so it looks cute and innocent, or you make the hands quite small in comparison, with the big head. The body is just straight down, pretty simple and self explanatory, and the legs are also stubby-like as well as the hands. The head should be bigger than anything else on the person whereas regular anime makes the body wider and the shoulder broader than the head. The eyes are done in the same fashion as regular anime which have eyes that take about, 3/4 of the face, more or less around that depending on what kind of character you want. In addition, the hair is done in the same way as well, so just draw the hair over the head so it looks natural and fits with the rest of your drawing, and that is it! Quite simple. Just try practicing round, curvy lines instead of sharp, and jagged.
