Since you (hopefully) now know how to create the male and female and the basic structure, I'll give you tips and tricks to make it become better, even the minuscule details make it great. First off, always keep your image clean, I tend to like my drawings a bit sketchy since I like how to looks, but cleanliness is key! All you do is erase and smoother the sides with a eraser with sharper corners so it won't erase and smudge the whole thing, and darken your picture, you can also try inking to do that. There is also guide lines, part of the structure. It can greatly help you with where to put the character's features and how to draw different positions. You just create lines across the face to where the eyes should line up, and one through the center of the face and down the chin. Draw guidelines LIGHTLY or else it will be hard to erase and like I said, cleanliness is key!
Clothes can even be improved with wrinkles. If you look at your clothing, it is never, ever completely wrinkle free, so your drawing should have wrinkles in the person's drawing as well. Never form the lines into an X to create wrinkles, it is impossible to have X shaped wrinkles, but all else is okay. Use wrinkles to demonstrate the tight or looseness of the clothing, long and folded over, or small and far apart. There is also simple positions. No matter how excellent a drawing is, it is never as interesting if the person is just standing there, straight forward. Make them do something, and look at yourself in the mirror to see, same thing serves for hands, try them and practice by looking at it and determining the size on the picture.
Finally, be creative and don't be afraid to experiment! That's all for now, bye!

Try the manga male now today! The male was harder for me to draw due to the differences between the male and female in manga, but it wasn't much of a problem after because  could draw a person. Just a few modifications were needed, and you will probably get the hang of it as well. First of all, the eyes are narrower and sharper instead of the big and round female eyes unless the boy is a child or innocent, polite, etc. to show what the character is like. Add eyelids as a line above the eye and eyebrows, don't make them slender/skinny.Then, you draw the body which is quite simple really and doesn't have to be thought to hard about. Just two broad lines for the chest narrowing slightly as it goes down and lines as the legs, don't make it too stiff or skinny unless they are weak, etc. The arms are done in the same fashion, can be put in pockets or behind back so it's less time consuming or if you cannot draw hands, if you do, feel free to do so!

Then draw the feet and the hair. Hair is usually drawn short for me but, do as you wish, as long as the rules are correct for the hair, and your done with the structure! Just had clothes like a hoodie or something and add wrinkles for realism.

Chibi! That is today's post. Chibi is a form similar to anime, except the characters are short in proportion, and the face is rounder, eyes are bigger, etc. There are many forms of chibi because it is very versatile, but the way I'm doing it is to make the head round like a "U" first. Then you make the arms like tiny stubs so it looks cute and innocent, or you make the hands quite small in comparison, with the big head. The body is just straight down, pretty simple and self explanatory, and the legs are also stubby-like as well as the hands. The head should be bigger than anything else on the person whereas regular anime makes the body wider and the shoulder broader than the head. The eyes are done in the same fashion as regular anime which have eyes that take about, 3/4 of the face, more or less around that depending on what kind of character you want. In addition, the hair is done in the same way as well, so just draw the hair over the head so it looks natural and fits with the rest of your drawing, and that is it! Quite simple. Just try practicing round, curvy lines instead of sharp, and jagged.

Today we are doing expressions, detail, personality of a manga character. This part is important because It makes the character more interesting and eye-catching. How to do this is to adjust the eyes, structure, mouth, etc. of the person. For example, if you want to make a childish or young character, you would usually make the eyes wide and soft with curves instead of sharp, bold angles to portray an innocent look and the feature's as well, the character would also have to have the rest of the face similar to that as well and try to make everything go into place well and not seem like parts of the person are mismatched, so the person looking at the drawing can tell right away what the character is a bit like. You can also make your character hold something that would show they're personality, in this case by making them hold a stuffed toy, etc. Same goes for the characteristics of any other person your drawing, make the theme relatively the same unless your character is whimsical, has split personalities, etc. then, you can adjust things such as when you have a normally sweet looking character and they can shift to looking intimidating and fierce by the looks. Also, make your character interesting if you can by making them pose while doing an action, not making them just stand there. No matter how well drawn  it is, the picture would be better when the character is doing something like pointing, crouching, or doing a sports activity. In addition, don't forget to add things! If the character seems just too empty, maybe draw some wing and make them and Angel, and I've seen a lot of manga characters with cat(neko) ears. Or you can be more creative and make your own design and stray away from the usual. What you can do to your character to make them more interesting is quite limitless.

Today, I'm going to teach you how to draw the hair of a manga female, which is just as vital as the eyes. The hair is hard to master because you want to make it look realistic and make it flow smoothly, take note of the volume and how the hair is supposed to look like on the head,  not choppy and unrealistic. So, let's get started. First, I'm going to do this based on long, curved in hair. The hair will be down near the waist. You start from the basic body structure you made, and draw a curved line higher over it, a reasonable amount, not too close to the scalp, and not too far so it won't look abnormal. Then curve down from each side to create both sides of the parts of hair, add a little pressure, then more, and slowly release the pressure.

This makes the hair look smoother like it is in strands and this is also an ideal way of inking your image. Finish and connect by drawing the bottom parts of the hair and bank it back in near the neck for both parts of the hair. Next you do the bangs which will be side bangs and make a curved line on one side and finish it up, and end it three-fourths to the other side of the head and finish and connect the hair on the other sides making them separates (the hairline.) Lastly, make a few stray lines every now and then, and add and clean things up to make the image more realistic. Here is yet another guide line, and just focus on the long hair she has, but if you want to draw her, give it a shot!

Hey, again! Today, I'll teach you one of the most crucial parts of an anime female, the eyes. Eyes are one of the most important parts in manga because just by looking at them, you can see the characteristics and personality of the character. Manga female characters are known for their large expressive eyes that usually takes up most of the space on the face. Okay, so let's get started first, you make an arc that serves as the upper eye and shade it in, then make a big, round oval, for the eye and don't make it sharp like the eye of a male it should take up three fourths of the arc! Add a circle to the right/left corner of the eye that serves as the glare produced by light. Also, make an iris in the center of the eye by making a slim oval and shade it in.
Make another arc that goes right through the center of the eye and shade the upper part of the eye from the upper part of the arc you just made. Finally, add eyelashes as a curve over the upper eye lid and your finished! This is the simplest form of a manga and after practice, will come naturally to you. If you feel like you can, tweak some things to match the character's personality. Here is a sample picture as a guideline!

Today, you'll learn about basic body structure of a manga female. It is quite easy to do if you know the layout of a person in real life and if you practice. You should know that this is the way I do my style manga, and If you like it, awesome. If you don't, make your own style, It's really fun! But for the body structure, It's mostly the same. So let's get started! First, you need to sketch out the head lightly so It's easy to erase If you make a mistake.
It is a oval-like shape that is slightly pointy near the end that serves as the chin. The female has a less prominent chin and a smooth, not very sharp angled head that is wider than a males. My style includes no top of the  head unless the character has horns, cat ears, etc. because the top of the head will be covered with hair anyways. Next, you draw two, graceful curves that serve as the neck and don't make it too thick or the character will look like a male. In addition, make shoulders which is just plain lines on each side of the neck and curve down. An important tip is that the shoulders should be broader than the head always and not too broad to make it look male. Also, draw 2 sticks for arms, even them out to look realistic, and put the arms behind the back.
Then draw the chest and bank down into another curve which serves as the stomach and bring them back slightly to create the hips and thighs so the person doesn't look like a deformed twig! The legs can be together and all you have to draw is a line in between to make them  into 2, or you can make them apart which is nearly the same process. Lastly, draw feet as a curve or rectangle like shape as a guideline connect and bring it down into feet. Erase sketchy or guidelines to create a clean finish, and you're done creating the basic body structure! This is just a preference/guide to get an idea of what the body is supposed to look like. Also, don't be afraid to change a few things. Keep the structure in mind but of course you can tweak the arms, legs, etc.  because art is limitless!

My blog is about drawing manga! What I'm going to do is type paragraphs about what to do when it comes to drawing, my opinions on it, my inspiration to draw it, etc. But most importantly, how to tutorials, supplies you need, tips, and other tactics you can use to draw. Then I make a tutorial and step by step words, labels, and pictures to help the reader understand. I made this blog because this isn't just about randomly scribbling, it takes skill, a steady hand, and a vivid imagination! This doesn't mean you have to be serious and not have fun, but to take pride in your work and not randomly waste sheets of paper.
Even if your not the best drawer, you can still have a great time and end up to be an amazing artist. I mean almost everyone had to start at the bottom to be good at something! I don't have natural drawing talent, and was only an average drawer before. So don't feel bad that your art doesn't look as nice as others. You should never compare yourself to more professional drawers. So, for those of you who want to improve, and learn something new about manga or just drawing in general, enjoy reading my blog! Here is an example of manga to get you motivated!
