Today we are doing expressions, detail, personality of a manga character. This part is important because It makes the character more interesting and eye-catching. How to do this is to adjust the eyes, structure, mouth, etc. of the person. For example, if you want to make a childish or young character, you would usually make the eyes wide and soft with curves instead of sharp, bold angles to portray an innocent look and the feature's as well, the character would also have to have the rest of the face similar to that as well and try to make everything go into place well and not seem like parts of the person are mismatched, so the person looking at the drawing can tell right away what the character is a bit like. You can also make your character hold something that would show they're personality, in this case by making them hold a stuffed toy, etc. Same goes for the characteristics of any other person your drawing, make the theme relatively the same unless your character is whimsical, has split personalities, etc. then, you can adjust things such as when you have a normally sweet looking character and they can shift to looking intimidating and fierce by the looks. Also, make your character interesting if you can by making them pose while doing an action, not making them just stand there. No matter how well drawn  it is, the picture would be better when the character is doing something like pointing, crouching, or doing a sports activity. In addition, don't forget to add things! If the character seems just too empty, maybe draw some wing and make them and Angel, and I've seen a lot of manga characters with cat(neko) ears. Or you can be more creative and make your own design and stray away from the usual. What you can do to your character to make them more interesting is quite limitless.
